Losing a loved one through death can be a devastating experience. Here at St. Luke, we have parishioners who provide a Consolation Ministry to help families plan the funeral and to assist them in those immediate days after death. The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a worldwide Catholic ministry to assist the poor in local communities. Many people who live in Whitestone are blessed in many ways, but some among us struggle because of various circumstances. A group of parishioners work with the clergy to assess the needs of those who seek assistance so we can provide them with the appropriate assistance. For more information please call 718-746-8102.

St. Martha was the sister of Lazarus, and she was busy about the details of hospitality while her sister, Mary, sat at the feet of Jesus as he taught. Martha's Ministry helps with preparing for receptions and other social events for the parish.
